If you are a healthcare provider or a researcher in maternal, perinatal or neonatal health, here we provide information on ways to get involved with the ON TRACK Network and clinical trials research. For resources including publications, guidelines and websites to help you develop your own knowledge base and clinical/research practice please see our Translation & Implementation page.

Speak with your Site Network Leader
We have Site Network Leaders (SNLs) in the majority of DHBs across New Zealand. SNLs champion clinical trials research and act as the main contact point between the ON TRACK Network and their respective hospital sites. If you are passionate about clinical trials research and facilitating best clinical practice at your site for mothers and babies, contact your SNL to find out more about the Network and how you can become involved. If you are not sure who your SNL is, or your site's SNL role is currently vacant please contact us.
Research Prioritisation Project
Identifying priority research questions for New Zealanders in maternal and perinatal health is one of our Network's strategic pillars. We have a Research Prioritisation Project currently underway. The Network has brought together health professionals, consumers, researchers, policy makers, funders and other stakeholders to identify gaps in our knowledge and to prioritise which perinatal and maternal research is needed. Everyone and anyone with an interest in perinatal and maternal research was welcome and encouraged to participate. You can find out more on our Research Prioritisation page.
Have an idea for a clinical trial?
The ON TRACK Network hosts annual clinical trial development workshops. The aim of the workshops is to support the development of promising clinical trial concepts and ideas to a stage where they are ready for success in competitive funding applications. Concepts accepted for development during the workshops are for investigator-led collaborative clinical trials, which are likely to recruit across multiple New Zealand sites. You can find out more about these workshops by looking at our clinical trial development page or by contacting us.
Find a clinical trial for your site
If you would like to find a clinical trial in maternal or perinatal health for your hospital, you can find details of trials in set up and currently recruiting across New Zealand on our clinical trials page or in our monthly newsletters. If there is a trial of interest to you and your teams, we can assist by putting you in touch with the lead investigator to discuss feasibility and set up for your site.
Sign up to our monthly newsletter
We publish monthly ON TRACK newsletters aimed at healthcare professionals and researchers. These newsletters provide: information on Network and clinical trials activities; latest trials publications; update your practice pieces; and guideline developments. The newsletters are distributed across DHBs by Site Network Leaders and Site Network Coordinators, but if you want copies sent directly to your inbox you can subscribe via our newsletters page.
Share your clinical trials experience
We like to share learning and experience from those delivering clinical trials research to encourage and facilitate more clinical trials across New Zealand. If you are already involved in the delivery of clinical trials research for better health of mothers and babies in New Zealand, why not share your story? Tell us about your experience and thoughts on delivering maternal and perinatal clinical trials. We will feature your insights here on our website and in our newsletters.
