Tailored educational opportunity
The ON TRACK Network hosts national educational site visits providing opportunity for sites to engage with clinical trials research and to enhance their evidence-based practice. This initiative developed in 2019 creates multidisciplinary educational opportunities that can be tailored to suit each individual site.
“The concept that every mother and baby is entitled to participate in a clinical trial is a big shift in thinking for me”
“Key message for me….importance of clinical trials for improving health outcomes, reducing harm and reducing variation in practice”

"I enjoyed all the sessions this morning but particularly thought the bookend talks introducing the role of research to improve quality and explaining the network activities very interesting"
“I really liked how multidisciplinary the session was”
"Great presentations, very interesting"
How they work
Senior ON TRACK Network members contribute to half-day educational meetings hosted at hospitals throughout New Zealand. Clinical teams at sites choose from a variety of clinical trials research topics and we provide some general information regarding the Network and its activities. We strongly encourage presentations by those involved in research at each site to optimise relevance to local clinical practice and to ensure topics are relevant across the disciplines providing maternal and perinatal care.Interested in a visit for your site?
If you would like ON TRACK Network colleagues to visit, please contact us and we will work with you and your Site Network Leader to schedule a visit and design your agenda. Once dates and topics are confirmed we can provide flyers to help you advertise the visit and assist with administrative aspects to make the most of this opportunity for your site.
